Paul Tauxe

Paul Tauxe is pursuing his first year of the Master’s degree in the Economics International Track at the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE), which concludes with an internship at Amsterdam Bureau for Economics (EBA). For EBA, Paul is studying diseconomies of scale for islands in general and island states in particular. He also proposes solutions to these issues and assesses whether diseconomies of scale are inevitable in island states.

Paul completed a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science applied to the Social Sciences, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Economics at TSE. In 2023, Paul worked for the French Ministry of Culture as a data scientist, where he studied the impact of climate change and tourist attendance on three French ornate caves, leading to conservation measures in these prehistoric sites.

Paul Tauxe was the World Champion in Men’s Under-23 Double Canoe by team and placed third in Junior Men’s Double Canoe at the World Championships in 2019. He also held numerous French championship titles before ending his sports career in 2020.
